Northeast Florida Virtual Job Fair Set For May 20

Hundreds of local businesses will be looking for employees with an online “job fair” on Thursday, May 20, hosted by the Career Source Northeast Florida and the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce.

Participating Northeast Florida companies include legal, healthcare, hospitality, sales, industry, manufacturing, service, labor, staffing, wellness, and many more fields.

Register for the free online event.

The first hour, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., is reserved for high school seniors, and everyone is welcome from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Johns County job seekers will also have the chance to enter a specific St. Johns County “room,” where 40 St. Johns County businesses will be looking to meet job seekers.

“Upon logging in, job seekers will find many options (including) entering the St. Johns County ‘room’ to explore opportunities,” explained Isabelle Renault, president of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, in an email to WJCT News. “Job seekers will also be able to access virtual booths and directly knock at the doors of the companies. And business owners can monitor the job fair while at work as they will be alerted when a job seeker knocks. This is particularly valuable for business owners who can’t leave their office.”

Employers interested in participating in the free recruiting event can register at http://bit.ly/empvirtual520. The registration site provides tips for success.
