Detail from the mural.

A mural is being created by recent Douglas Anderson alumni in the neighborhood of Avondale. The mural was designed to pay tribute to the neighborhood’s beauty and rich history, while also uniting people through art.  Avondale resident Ron Rothberg, and artist Hanna Hadzic joined us to talk about the mural’s depiction and ways to support the artists’ efforts.

Man in Overalls

COVID-19 has caused many to support local farmers and even plant their own vegetable gardens due to issues with the food supply chain. Nathan Ballentine, aka the "Man in Overalls," joined us with tips on growing your own groceries and the importance of doing so.
