Proposed voting changes in Florida are raising some eyebrows with election experts.

Governor DeSantis and GOP legislative leaders are pushing for changes after the presidential election resulted in a  mail-in voting surge amid false claims from former President Donald Trump's that the 2020 election was stolen.  Michael McDonald, a political science professor at the University of Florida, joined us with his thoughts.  

Workplace Diversity

One of Jacksonville’s big employers is taking active steps to promote a more diversified workforce.  Allie Braswell, VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with VyStar Credit Union,  joined ua with details.  

Future Of Local News

Wednesday night, The Florida Times-Union Guild held a forum to discuss how to save local newspapers.  There was also a statement from all four living former Jacksonville mayors asking Times-Union parent company Gannett to invest more in local journalism.  WJCT CEO David McGowan joined us with some thoughts on the future of local journalism.

Susan Zurenda 

Inspired by a real-life incident, the debut novel from Southern novelist Susan Zurenda has received a slew of accolades.  She joined us to talk about her new book Bells For Eli, and will be talking about it more this week in Fernandina Beach.
