The founder and patriarch of the Jacksonville law firm Harrell & Harrell died over the weekend.
William Harrell started his personal injury practice in 1991 and built it into an 18-attorney firm that included his wife Renee and three of his 4-children: Holt, Julie and Kimberly.
Among his accomplishments, Mr. Harrell served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army, worked as an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy and put himself through law school at the University of Florida.
Mr. Harrell died at home Saturday after a long battle with cancer. He was 70.
His family is planning a small, private service in Live Oak, Florida where he was born.
