The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 2 p.m. Friday for Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia and the adjacent coastal waters.
A strong cold front will push across the region today with widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms. We may see strong to severe winds with damaging wind gusts possible.
Meteorologist John Gaughan with our partner News4Jax says the storms will move through Jacksonville at lunch time and reach St. Augustine by 3 p.m.
