Saharan dust blowing off the west coast of Africa will move across the Atlantic over the coming days, keeping thunderstorms non-existent and clouds even to a minimum.
The dry air from these storms and higher winds aloft will make it nearly impossible for any tropical development to occur in the next five to ten days, unless it occurs close to home.
But that is not expected. A tropical wave will bring deeper moisture into the state over the next two days, but only an increase in afternoon rain coverage and intensity is expected.
