After living in Brooklyn until he was 11 his mother moved him and his brother to Burbank, CA, where he attended John Burroughs High School and earned a full football scholarship to the University of Arizona. At Arizona, Eben received his bachelor's degree in Creative Writing. He came to Jacksonville as the second round pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2009 NFL Draft. After collaborating with WJCT Music Director David Luckin he created his After Hours program Number 73, an eclectic mix of music and literature.
