Climate Change Impacts Hurricane Strength, Says NASA Scientist
Climate change could impact the strength of hurricanes in the Atlantic. That’s according to Senior NASA Scientist, Timothy Hall.
Mir Retrospective
NPR's Larry Abramson reports on the 15-year journey of the world's first true space station. Russian cosmonauts as well as politicians recall Mir with fondness: it provided truly new scientific information about long-duration space flight's effects on humans, as well a politically valuable comeback for the Soviet Union after the U.S. pulled ahead in the space race. Mir outlived its expected life span, and recently the aging orbiter has experienced a series of mishaps and accidents. Russia will "de-orbit" the craft this week and bring it back to a fiery grave somewhere, hopefully, in the Pacific Ocean.
New cruise line brings passengers back to Jacksonville terminal
American Queen Voyages is starting new 12-day cruises sailing out of Jacksonville. The company has plans for 11 more cruises out of Jacksonville this year.
George Clooney: The Journey to 'Good Night'
Actor, producer, writer, director George Clooney directed and co-wrote the new film Good Night, and Good Luck, about the showdown between legendary journalist Edward R. Murrow and Sen. Joseph McCarthy that took place in 1954.

Catching Stupid Lobsters
The lobsters people eat, it seems, may be the stupid lobsters -- or at least the unlucky ones. Scientists observing a lobster trap set in the Atlantic Ocean off Portsmouth, New Hampshire were surprised to learn that the vast majority of lobsters that enter the trap were easily able to escape.
