Capital Report: January 18, 2024

A bill aimed at placing age-restrictions on social media access, is heading to the House floor. The measure has bipartisan support, but Adrian Andrews reports it’s facing pushback from critics who worry the bill may be going too far.

A bill to grow the state’s healthcare workforce passed the full Florida Senate today (Thursday). Regan McCarthy reports the Live Healthy package is heading next to the Florida House.

President Joe Biden’s administration is trying to add pressure to the Republican-led states that have refused funding for a summer meal program for kids. Among those states: Florida.

A bill advanced in a heated Florida House subcommittee yesterday (Wed) that would restrict putting certain flags on state buildings. WMNF’s Chris Young reports
