A series of tornado warnings had weather alerts buzzing throughout the region around midday. Luckily, no casualties or serious property damage reported.
Florida lawmakers are weighing in about President Donald Trump’s recent tariffs on
imported goods. Adrian Andrews reports legislators on both sides of the aisle believe
the tariffs could impact on the state budget.
Those in charge of the state’s 30 private colleges and universities are concerned about the House budget’s cutbacks for a program that provides grants to students.
Protests happened throughout the country over the weekend, including several in
Florida. The “Hands Off” rallies were a combined effort by social change groups such as Indivisible and MOVE ON and more than 150 or so state, regional and local groups.
Nationwide, participation ran into the millions. Southwest Florida played a large part in the nationwide event as well. WGCU’s Eileen Kelley brings us this report.
