Recycling Suspended; Great Cities Symposium; Single-Use Plastics; Six Years of "Edible"

Nearly three weeks after Hurricane Ida struck the city, many residents are growing angry at the lack of garbage pickups in New Orleans— a problem officials say stems from labor shortages that began with the COVID-19 pandemic and were made worse by the storm.

Next week, Jacksonville will suspend curbside recycling collection due to labor shortages.

Beginning Monday, Jacksonville residents can bring their recycling to one of 14 dropoff centers citywide.
