Florida schools will take center stage in this year's Florida governor race. Gov. Ron DeSantis signed controversial legislation dealing with what goes on in classrooms, and his opponent Charlie Crist selected a teachers' union leader as his running mate. Born and raised in Miami, Karla Hernandez is president of the United Teachers of Dade.

Artemis 1

NASA hoped to launch the most powerful rocket it has ever built toward a rendezvous with the moon Monday morning.

But the launch countdown for the Artemis 1 rocket was put on hold to deal with a series of technical problems.

The eyes of the world will be on Florida’s Space Coast when the launch is attempted again this Friday.
