St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office

Florida could become the 26th state to allow people to carry concealed, loaded guns without permits. This, under legislation endorsed Monday by House Speaker Paul Renner and the Florida Sheriffs Association.

Dubbed “constitutional carry,” by supporters, the concept behind the bill also has the backing of Gov. Ron DeSantis.

At the same time, the first week of February is National Gun Violence Survivors Week. More people die from gun violence by early February in the U.S. than an entire calendar year in other high income countries.
