Local analysts are closely following the collapses of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank.

Both banks are now under the control of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. So how concerned should we be about the banking system?

Guests:

Rebranding Florida’s Democratic Party

Nikki Fried, the former state agriculture commissioner, is now the head of Florida’s Democratic Party. This week, she came to Jacksonville to rally Democrats to get out the vote in the local elections. We spoke with Fried about her vision for the Florida Democrats after the party’s historic losses in the November midterms.

Guest: Nikki Fried, chairwoman of the Florida Democratic Party.

Equal Pay Day

March 14 is Equal Pay Day. This date symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year. That means the average full-time working woman has to work about 2½ months more than the average man in order to make the same amount that he earned the year before.

Guest: Mary Gatta, director of research and public policy, National Association of Colleges and Employers.

ThinkBold Festival

An event designed to bring some of the boldest thinkers together is coming to Jacksonville next month.

The Thinkbold Festival and Conference, which will take place April 14-15 at the riverfront Hyatt Regency, will infuse contemporary music, technology, arts, culture and entrepreneurship into a series of performances, masterclasses, panels, workshops, keynotes, exhibitions and more.

Event organizers are describing it as a mix between TED Talks and South by Southwest.

Guest: Troy McNair, one of the co-founders of the Gangplank Management Group.
