The two-term legislator is one of just two Democrats representing Northeast Florida in the House, and one of the leading progressive voices in the state, with national media hits on MSNBC and other outlets.

World Sea Turtle Day
Friday was World Sea Turtle Day, but you can still do your part to help protect the species during nesting season.
Mayor Chris Hoffman of Jacksonville Beach and Kevin Brown a volunteer with Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol, joined us with more details.
Brown is on the beach daily monitoring sea turtle nests and educating beachgoers about protecting the beach for sea turtles to have the best chance of survival.
