Ben Frazier, a civil Rights activist and president of the Northside Coalition, passed away Saturday night after a nine-month battle with cancer one day after celebrating his 73rd birthday.

Frazier was a longtime broadcast journalist who became the first Black anchor of a major news show in Jacksonville.

Here in Jacksonville, he was best known as an award-winning civil and human rights leader — a voice that fought for the people even as he underwent his cancer treatment.

Elder Lee Harris, pastor of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church; Kimberly Allen, CEO of 904Ward; and attorney John Phillips joined us to talk about Frazier's legacy.
