COVID cases are on the rise in Jacksonville, and they're expected to climb higher as students return to school. Today, we revisit best practices surrounding the virus.

Dr. Shalika Katugaha, system medical director of infectious diseases at Baptist Health, joins the conversation with updates on the illness and how we can keep our family and community members safe.

Road safety

Motorists should prepare for more congested roads as students return to school. Many drivers admitted to risky behaviors such as speeding through school zones and using handheld devices in a new survey conducted by AAA. Mark Jenkins of AAA joins us with some safety tips for drivers.

Summer concerts

Several mainstream artists, including Taylor Swift, headlined tours this summer. Also making headlines were steep ticket prices and poorly behaved concertgoers. Catalina Selvagn of Cre8Jax has more.

Queer Country Disco

Folk is People and Jacksonville Music Experience present an evening of queer Americana and country music. The event takes place Saturday at the WJCT Soundstage. Stacey Bennett of Folk is People gives us details.

Stacey Bennett is the producer of "First Coast Connect" and "What's Health Got to Do With It?" She is a Jacksonville-based singer-songwriter who performs under the nom de plume Folk is People. Stacey holds bachelor's degrees in both political science and psychology from the University of North Florida and a master's in business administration from Saint Leo University.
