The conditions at the Duval County jail have been under thorough investigation for the past year, marked by a state investigation and the Jacksonville sheriff terminating its longtime private health contractor. This development has brought concerns regarding both the quality and cost of jail health care. We had the opportunity to delve into these developments with Nichole Manna, a reporter at The Tributary, as we explored the City Council auditor’s investigation on how the funds are being spent.

OneJax

OneJax is a nonprofit organization in Jacksonville that promotes interfaith understanding and advocates for an ideal that might seem challenging within our current social and political culture. After an extensive national search, OneJax is embarking on a fresh chapter with Elizabeth Anderson named as their new CEO. While she officially assumes leadership duties Feb. 5, she joined us to discuss everything happening at OneJax, along with her vision for the future.
