House calls with Dr. Joe

Dr. Joe Sirven, known to many from What’s Health Got to Do with It, addresses your medical questions. Then, we also discuss Elon Musk’s Neuralink. His company successfully implanted a brain-reading device into a human subject.

FCC book club

This month’s featured book is The Awakening by Kate Chopin, published in 1899. The novel covers themes of motherhood, gender roles and social conventions, presenting a potent critique of patriarchal oppression. Stacey Goldring has graciously shared the book's endnotes for those who couldn't attend the meetings.

'Untold Stories'

Jacksonville keeps the oral storytelling tradition vibrant with the ongoing series Untold Stories. Presented live at the Florida Theatre, this platform showcases the unique and inspiring stories of First Coast residents. Mark your calendars for the winter performance on Feb. 15.

Guests

  • Barbara Colaciello, director of Untold Stories.
