The struggle over Medicaid in Florida

A set of legislative proposals making its way through the Legislature is poised to broaden access to health care in Florida. The initiative, known as Live Healthy, seeks an infusion of $800 million into the health care sector. Yet, this is happening at the same time lawmakers steadfastly refuse to accept annual federal aid of $200 million for Medicaid.
