Olympic skateboarding hopeful Poe Pinson catches some air at WJCT Studios. The 19-year-old from Fernandina Beach was introduced to skating when she was 4 years old.

On Wednesday's First Coast Connect, we talk to local street skate champion and Olympic hopeful Poe Pinson about a skateboarding career that began at age 4. We’re also joined by her father, Kenny Pinson, who bought Poe her first skateboard.

Then, a cultural resurgence in Nassau County. We sit down with Nassau Council of Arts and Culture President Richard Restiano and Blue Fire Theatre founder and director Toni D’Amico about arts momentum in mid- and western Nassau County.

And, it’s springtime for storytellers as the third season of Untold Stories rolls out at the Florida Theatre on May 30. We're joined by the project’s creator and a storyteller with a boisterous family history to share.

Guests:

  • Barbara Colaciello, artistic director and host of Untold Stories.
  • Mary Strickland, storyteller.
