Former local journalist Charlene Shirk reported extensively on the search for 19-year-old college student Melissa Witt while she was a reporter for KSFM-CBS in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Shirk’s yearslong coverage of the cold case plays a large role in the documentary At Witt’s End: The Hunt for a Killer, now streaming on Hulu.
