Over the past 30 years, technology has changed rapidly in medicine. Despite great evolutions in diagnostic and communication technologies, patients consistently report that the doctor-patient relationship is just as important as how quickly they hear from their doctor and the tools their doctor uses for diagnosis and treatment. That relationship drives the United States’ multitrillion-dollar health care system.

Today’s show is dedicated to exploring the ways to create meaningful doctor-patient relationships.

Guests:

  • Dr. Lyell Jones, professor of neurology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
  • Dr. Sunil Joshi, Jacksonville-based allergist and immunologist and Ppresident of the Duval County Medical Society Foundation.
  • Dr. Shad Marvasti, Stanford-trained physician, medical educator, researcher, public speaker and author; faculty member at the University of Arizona.
