One of the busiest weeks in business networking kicks off this week with The Players Championship.
Big changes are in store at the event, which begins Thursday, with the Championship having invested millions of dollars into the course. Among the changes that will greet attendees are improved areas for spectators, new concessions and changes to the entrance and exit.
Another major change is in how the tournament is handling parking. Passes have to be purchased online, although they’re free for cars containing four people.
Shuttles will also be available from downtown hotels.
Last year, the event generated about $150 million for the area and donated $8 million to local charities.
