The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will be issuing new Medicare cards in the coming weeks and months in an effort to combat identity theft. The new cards will use a randomly assigned number called the Medicare Beneficiary Identifier to replace the Social Security-based numbers currently on cards. We're joined by Marilyn Gregory, she's a Licensed Navigator with The Health Planning  Council of SWFL, to find out what this all means for folks on Medicare, and any changes they might encounter going forward.
