The last day to harvest bay scallops for the year in certain areas of the state is Monday. Listen to the story!

On Tuesday, the state waters from Franklin County through northwest Taylor county will be off limits for bay scallop harvesting.  That includes Carrabelle, Lanark, and St. Marks.

The state waters near Levy, Citrus, and Hernando counties will also be closed to harvesting bay scallops.

The only region that still has several days left includes all state waters from the Mexico Beach Canal in Bay County to the westernmost point of St. Vincent Island in Franklin County. That will close Sunday, September 30th.
