In another session of Live from the 305, Sundial featured Latin jazz band "Eduardo Lis and the Latin Jazz Menu." Lis, the leader of the group, grew up in Argentina, where he played classical music. Later in life, he was influenced by Brazilian music and took and interest in Latin drums. He moved to Miami in 2006 and is an elementary music teacher in Broward County. He joined Sundial to talk about the appetite for Latin jazz in South Florida and how he’s inspiring his students.

Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is on Nov. 1 and 2. The Mexican tradition traces back thousands of years to indigenous tribes like the Aztecs, and says the souls of the deceased come down from heaven and reunite with their families on earth. Sundial’s associate producer Alejandra Martinez is a Mexican-American from Texas and remembers celebrating Day of the Dead since she was a little girl. She joined Sundial to talk aboutDay of the Dead in South Florida. You can read and listen to Martinez's full story here.
