The LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival happens April 27th and 28th in downtown Tallahassee. This year's festival plan was announced by LeMoyne's leadership during a special reveal event the evening of Thursday, Jan. 17.

Last year, the Tallahassee festival was ranked number one in the nation. LeMoyne President Kelly Dozier said the ranking has slipped but not by much.

"This year, we remain in the top five as number five, so we're very pleased by that," she announced as event attendees cheered.

In October, LeMoyne hired a new Executive Director, Lee Ortega.

"This year will be my very first Chain of Parks and I'm really looking forward to it," she told the group.

Something else to look forward to will be the free-to-everyone musical performance by Tallahassee Nights Live on Saturday evening of the festival. And the festival's program cover art this year is provided by printmaker John Davis who was a first-time participant last year.

"I'll be passing the word around to other artists that I know that this is the place to come," he promised.

One-hundred fifty artists will have their works available for show and sale the last weekend in April.
