Press release from Florida State:

Florida State’s 2021 schedule was officially announced Thursday. It includes seven home games and five road games, including the annual rivalry matchup with Florida.

“We are excited about the 2021 football season, and the announcement of the upcoming schedule sets a lot of wheels in motion,” Florida State Director of Athletics David Coburn said. “I know our coaches and players are glad to know what the season will look like, not to mention our Seminole Boosters and fans who can begin making their plans.”

Florida State opens the 2021 campaign with four home games in the first five weeks. The Seminoles host Notre Dame on Sunday, Sept. 5 before welcoming Jacksonville State to Tallahassee six days later on Sept. 11. Florida State, which played both teams in 2020, will welcome Notre Dame to Tallahassee for the third time in a series the Seminoles lead 6-4. In last year’s matchup with Jacksonville State, Florida State gained more than 250 yards rushing and passing in a game for the first time since 2016.

FSU opens ACC play Sept. 18 at Wake Forest. Florida State leads the all-time series 30-7-1, including a 9-4 mark in Winston-Salem. The Seminoles return home to host Louisville on Sept. 25 and Syracuse on Oct. 2. FSU holds a 16-5 advantage, including 10-2 in Tallahassee, in the all-time series against Louisville and has a 6-0 mark at home as part of an 11-2 all-time lead over Syracuse. The Syracuse game will also serve as Family Weekend on FSU’s campus.

The Seminoles travel to North Carolina on Oct. 9. Florida State leads the all-time series 16-3-1 after defeating No. 5-ranked North Carolina in Doak Campbell Stadium on Oct. 17, 2020, making Mike Norvell the only coach in ACC history to earn a win over a top-five team in his first season.

After an open date, Florida State hosts UMass on Oct. 23 for Homecoming. FSU returns to ACC play with a trip to Clemson on Oct. 30. The matchup with UMass is the first for the programs, and the game at Clemson resumes a series that Florida State leads 20-13.

Florida State’s final two-game homestand features North Carolina State on Nov. 6 and Miami on Nov. 13. North Carolina State is the only conference opponent FSU has faced every season since joining the ACC in 1992. The Nov. 13 date is the latest for an FSU-Miami game since 2014 and only the fourth November matchup in the series since 1992.

The Seminoles travel to Boston College on Nov. 20 and end the regular season at Florida on Nov. 27. In FSU’s last trip to Boston College, the Seminoles earned a 38-31 victory to improve to 13-5 overall against the Eagles and 7-3 in Chestnut Hill. Florida State has won four of the last five matchups against Florida in Gainesville.

Season tickets go on sale Feb. 1. Tickets can be purchased online here or by calling the FSU Ticket Office at 850-644-1830.
