Mayor Lenny Curry has announced that he will hold a series of community conversations over the next several weeks around the issues of discrimination and human rights in Jacksonville.
Jimmy Midyette and Cam, who asked we not used his last name, both with the Jacksonville Coalition for Equality, join us to discuss how they want the city to update its human rights ordinance to include protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Jacksonville residents.
Later in the show we talk to Phil Ward, chief operating officer at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, about “Medicare Care Choices,” a national pilot program that will allow patients to receive hospice care and curative services simultaneously.
And Paul Reiser is in town this weekend for a show at the Florida Theatre. Reiser joins us for a conversation about his career in comedy.
