Jaguars Quarterback Blaine Gabbert Traded To 49ers

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert will be traded to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 6th round draft pick.The teams made the announcement Tuesday at the start of free agency, and the 49ers said the deal would be complete once Gabbert passes a physical.

Gabbert started the first three games for Jacksonville last season before being benched in favor of Chad Henne, who re-signed to a two-year contract worth $8 million last week.
 
The 24-year-old Gabbert was the 10th overall draft pick in 2011. He has thrown for 22 touchdowns in three NFL seasons, completing 414 of 777 passes for 4,357 yards in 28 games and 27 starts.
