Tech Tuesday: FORGE 3D Printing Studio Hosts Contest For One Spark Creators

FORGE 3D Printing Studio

Last year, FORGE 3D Printing Studio won enough crowd votes at Jacksonville's inaugural One Spark Festival to buy an in-house 3D printer. This year they plan on taking their business a step further.Adam Dukes of FORGE joined Melissa Ross for our Tech Tuesday segment.

Now, creators are invited to pitch their ideas to the guys behind FORGE 3D. You’ll get just five minutes to demonstrate your need for 3D printing and how it ties in with your One Spark project.

"It's going to be a fun, fast-paced event," said studio co-founder Adam Dukes.

Dukes says FORGE is looking to partner with like-minded One Spark 2014 Creators who are interested in turning conceptual sketches into 3D models or prototypes.

Tonight, they'll have an opportunity to compete for a spot in the FORGE 3D Printing Studio showroom during One Spark 2014.

It's located in downtown Jacksonville on Bay Street next to the historic Bostwick Buildling.

CoWork Jax is sponsoring the "fast-pitch" style event. With only five minutes, presenters must demonstrate their need for 3D printing and how it ties in with their One Spark project.

Three winners will host their ideas in the FORGE showroom during One Spark and will also receive free design consultation, One Spark promotion, and a $200 printing package from FORGE to help bring their concept to life.

FORGE is the only 3D printing retail studio in Jacksonville. The event kicks off at 6 p.m., and audience participation will determine the top winners of the evening.
