The Weekend Warriors are here to give you the inside scoop on local festivals, music and more for you to enjoy your three nights of freedom. Jacksonville’s 8th Annual Craft & Import Beer Festival

Make your Friday night one to remember by celebrating American Craft Beer Week at the eighth annual Craft & Import Beer Festival. The festival begins at 5 p.m. at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, 300 A Philip Randolph Blvd. There will be more than 40 different breweries and 350 beer samples at the event, including local brewery Intuition Ale Works with their newest creation, “Easy on the eyes”. The festival is for attendees ages 21 and up. Ticket prices range from $45-$85 and can be purchased from their website or at any Daily’s gas stations, while supplies last. With plenty of music, beer, and food, this is a festival you won’t want to miss.

Yes, you read it correctly: Booze and books are coming together for a great cause. For the first time, the Jacksonville Public Library Foundation is hosting a pub crawl downtown. The event is Saturday at the Zodiac Bar & Grill, 120 W. Adams St. Starting at 3 p.m., join historian Dr. Wayne W. Wood as you hit up some of the best bars in the downtown area. Go on behind-the-scenes tours of historic downtown libraries and learn about their history. Combining libraries and alcohol is sure to be a recipe for success so stop by and support the Jacksonville Public Library Foundation.

 

30th Annual Dancing in the Streets

The Beaches Town Center, located at the ocean end of Atlantic Boulevard, is hosting its 30th annual Dancing in the Streets. The festival is scheduled from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and will be filled with entertainment, food and drinks, and a Kid Zone designed with attractions specifically for children. Wristbands can be purchased at the front entrance of the Kid Zone for $14. While the kids play, parents can enjoy the live music, specialty frozen drinks, and visit the wide selection of booths selling art, jewelry, and more. Dance your way through the streets and come out to support local bands for a fun-filled day in the sun.

Great American Burgerfest

Well, it doesn’t get much more American than this. The Great American Burgerfest 2016 will be held at Francis Field, 25 West Casillo Dr., and is set to begin 4 p.m. Friday, continuing through the weekend. The festival offers mouthwatering burgers and ice cold beer from all over the U.S. If we didn’t have you hooked with beer and burgers, there will also be live music and an arts and crafts area for the kids. Be sure to select your favorite burger and see who will receive the honorable title of “Best Burger in the Southeast”.

Riding Into History

Come celebrate the 17th annual Riding Into History at World Golf Village on Saturday. Vintage motorcycle enthusiast or not, this event will be a site to see and benefits K9s for Warriors. The charity ride begins at 10 a.m. The competition is a world class Vintage Motorcycle Concours d’Elegance and attracts over 300 antique and vintage motorcycles each year. Admission for riders are $20 (which includes a passenger) and observers can attend for $10. Motorcycle collectors from all over the country will find themselves in St. Augustine this Saturday. Take I-95 to exit 323 to join this great cause.
