Duval County Superintendent Diana Greene said during a workshop Tuesday the district will now consider parent and teacher input when selecting new principals. It’s a process she used in her former district of Manatee County.
Duval Superintendent finalist Diana Greene said already being a Florida superintendent, she’d have a minimal learning curve coming to Duval where she would work to make the district financially solvent and eliminate D and F school grades.
A Duval County School Board member is calling for the district to hold off on hiring a new superintendent until new members are elected this fall. That goes against the current timeline that would have the new superintendent in place before the next school year.
