A popular Jacksonville bakery known for its made fresh-from-scratch sweet and savory pies, homemade pop-tarts and hand pies is saying goodbye to its original location in historic Riverside as it prepares to welcome diners to its new home.

After baking more than 300 pies for pickup in celebration of "Pi Day" on Tuesday, Mixed Fillings Pie Shop closed its original speakeasy-style home at 2251 Oak St.

Now, the work begins to open the shop's new, larger storefront a few blocks away, at 1049 Park St. in the heart of Five Points, Chef Natasha Burton, founder and owner, told the Florida Times-Union. An opening date has not been set, but Burton said she expects it to be soon.
