Over the past few decades more and more men have gotten into the kitchen, including culinary writer and public television host Steven Raichlen.

Raichlen's new book, Man Made Meals, focuses on cooking techniques for men. He joined Karen Feagins to discuss cooking and his upcoming event at Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails.

A five-time James Beard award winner, Raichlen is the author of 30 books and hosts the public television shows Primal Grill and Barbecue University.

Raichlan's new book discusses the nature of male based cooking methods and the characteristics that are unique to men working in a kitchen setting.

"For men, how we cook is as important as what we cook," Raichlen said.

Man Made Meals provides a masculine approach to cooking with recipes like "Cyclops Eggs," "Beer-Braised Chuck Steak" and "Hellfire Squid Stirfry."

Raichlen will be at Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails on Wednesday night for a dinner and book signing.
