Gastrofest Wins $100K 'Golden Ticket' At One Spark

The organizers of Gastrofest, a startup company with the goal of bringing Jacksonville's unique culinary scene together for a food festival in 2015, have got 100,000 reasons to celebrate this week.Gastrofest is the winner of the Golden Ticket giveaway, a $100,000 award for media, branding and marketing services from Void Media and Jacksonville-based advertising agency Adjective & Co.

With the award, Gastrofest will receive integrated branding and marketing services including website design and development, a full suite of advertising and marketing materials, and six months of advertising and promotion through Void Media.

"The vision of Gastrofest to educate and engage the community 365 days a year on the importance of local and sustainable food practices allowed it to stand out.” said Void and Adjective & Co. Vice President Eddie Berrang in a release.

According to their One Spark creator page, Gastrofest's goal is to organize present a city-wide event combining the many facets of Jacksonville's culinary scene, from craft beer to fine dining.

"We love what Jacksonville has to offer and we want to show the whole country what we've got! We want this to be an event people will bring tourists in from other parts of Florida and beyond," organizers write.

In addition to their Golden Ticket win, Gastrofest was also among the top ten vote getters in the innovation category at the 2014 One Spark festival with preliminary results showing them with 1006 votes.
