Want to learn about starting up your own Marijuana business? Well, there’s a seminar coming to a city near you over the next couple months.  It’s offered by the Cannabis Career Institute, which according to its website, is America’s first and premier marijuana business training center.

It’s going to 30 cities in several states, most of which are in Florida to offer classes on how to begin your own cannabis delivery service. The classes will mainly be taught by the head of the group, Bob Calkin. Here is he is in a 2011 California class, talking about his experience when he tried to start his own business.

“At that time, there was absolutely no information on how to start a marijuana business or a delivery service or anything like that. So, three years ago, I looked around and said if I want to advertise my service, how am I going to do that without attracting the wrong element: police, people that want to rob you, or people that you don’t want in your collective,” said Calkin, during the presentation.

The first class is offered in Panama City on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Edgewater Beach Resort. There’ll be another full day class in Tallahassee Sunday at the Hampton Inn & Suites Tallahassee.

For the rest of June and July, the workshops will also be in other Florida cities, including Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville.

Recently, a bill was sent to the Governor’s desk that would legalize a low strain of marijuana to help treat seizures. There’s also a medical marijuana initiative on the November ballot.
