The group behind Downtown’s One Spark festival has slashed its staff and is reorganizing.
The 11 employees One Spark had has dropped to three people. The move is part of a reorganization of the organization, which has had the festival for three years.
A board member for the group told the Business Journal that One Spark’s finances were solid and that more information will be released in a couple of weeks.
Tuesday afternoon, One Spark founder Elton Rivas said in a web post that he’ll be announcing a renewed focus on helping innovators connect with resources.
Rivas said "There are a number of additional key elements we’re working through and yes, it’s hard. Startups are hard. Change is hard."
