In March, the Maverick’s music venue in the Jacksonville Landing underwent some major renovations.
Now, the spot on the second floor of the Landing is rebranding itself. After eight years in the business, the venue will change its name to Maverick’s Live and start booking acts that go beyond its focus on country music.
Saturday night will move toward top 40 and dance music as well as Live on the River, which will have rock, rap, hip hop and reggae.
Since making the renovations, the venue’s co-owner said, bookings at the place have doubled.
