People who take road trips during the holidays are finding it's less expensive to fill up the gas tank than it's been in a long time. Gas for less than $2 per gallon can be found at nearly three-quarters of the nation’s filling stations, according to AAA.
In Florida, motorists saw the average price of regular unleaded drop slightly last week to $2.01 a gallon.
Nationally, regular unleaded ranges from $1.56 to $3.25 a gallon.
And Jacksonville, the lowest price listed on AAA’s Fuel Price Finder is $1.82.
Analysts say gas prices should continue to drop in January.
