Jax City Council approves budget: Jacksonville city lawmakers approved a spending plan, including an approximately 12 percent tax hike, in part two of a marathon meeting last night.

TEACH brings educators to Jax: The 2nd Annual TEACH Conference will bring 1,000 teachers from across the state to Jacksonville this Saturday. Tickets are still available.

Dems oust incoming legislative leader after feud: State Rep. Darryl Rouson was stripped of his titleas incoming leader of the House Democrats following a dispute involving a $75,000 check. (Florida Times-Union) 

New documents in released in Shirk investigation: New emails to the three women at the center of the investigation into the office of Jacksonville Public Defender Matt Shirk regarding their firings have been released. (News4Jax)
