State abuse victim win multi-million dollar suit against DCF: A victim of sex abuse at the hands of an older foster child under the care of the Florida Department of Children and Families has won a $5 million lawsuit against the state. (AP via WCTV)

Florida may join Texas in dropping opposition to airlines merger: Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi reportedly had an "extremely productive" meeting with American Airlines chairman and CEO Tim Horton related to the state's potentially dropping legal opposition to the company's proposed $11 billion merger with U.S. Airways. (Dallas Business Journal)
