Kids can get their costumes on early and head down to the Jacksonville Fairgrounds for Halloween Doors and More on Saturday.
Behind 14-foot fantasy doors, kids can find Elsa and Anna from Disney’s Frozen, Jaxon’s Clubhouse, and Candyland - featuring a self-service candy bar.
It’s the tenth year of the Halloween Doors & More. The event benefits Community PedsCare, the award-winning pediatric palliative and hospice program on the First Coast for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
"There are characters there for signings, there’s wonderful food, there’s music there at the disco," said Terry Eason, director of Community PedsCare.
"This is just another aspect of our program providing improved quality of life as best we can. And helping the kids just to be kids. This is something they really look forward to from year to year."
There is also a Monster Mash fun run on Friday evening.
