OneBlood Asks NE Floridians To Make Blood Donation Part of Christmas Weekend

WJCT

The organization formerly known as the Blood Alliance has a new name: OneBlood.

OneBlood is asking people in Northeast Florida to make donation a part of this holiday weekend.

The name changed when One Blood recently merged with the Blood Alliance. Marketing director Odette Struys says it’s a positive change for the area.

“The merger has a very positive effect on Northeast Florida because it will bring a far larger, stable blood supply to our region,” she says.

Blood Mobiles are gradually being replaced with Big Red Buses too. But the goal remains the same: Supply Florida hospitals with blood that saves lives.

Over Christmas weekend, OneBlood drives at several area movie theaters will reward donors with movie tickets:

Coastal Cinemas 12 (96012 Lofton Square Ct., Yulee, FL 32097)
