Halfway Through Session, Where Do Florida Lawmakers Stand On Education Issues?

Florida lawmakers have approved a handful of major bills since session began, but what changes, if any, could they make to the state's education system before session is over?Florida lawmakers have hit the halfway mark of the two-month legislative session. So far, the Legislature has cut the cost of car fees. They’ve put a stop to a bill banning red light cameras. And a plan to ease flood insurance rates is still in the works.

As StateImpact Florida’s John O’Connor and Sammy Mack explain, the education debate has focused on private school scholarships, college tuition and school funding.
