ONLY IN FLORIDA: Obama, Dogs, Halloween All Suspect In Weirdo Crime Wave

Blame the president, blame the dog, blame Halloween, just don't blame us for these three stories reported this week ONLY IN FLORIDA.ONLY IN FLORIDA is our weekly roundup of the strange, bizarre and just plain ridiculous events that happened right here in the Sunshine State.

ONLY IN FLORIDA do wife-beaters blame President Obama for their crimes.

Deputies in Century, Florida responded to a public disturbance that ended in the arrest of 18-year-old John Henry Shiffner. Shiffner is charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant woman.

Police say Shiffner told them it was all Obama’s fault, because he believes that Obama listens more to women than men. (Huffington Post)

ONLY IN FLORIDA do gorgeous South Beach models cut their boyfriends after said boyfriend’s dog wolfs down the model’s marijuana stash.

26-year-old Shadae Scott went from posing for magazine covers to posing for a Broward Sheriff’s Office mugshot after she was arrested and charged with domestic battery. Police say she slashed her boyfriend with a pink pocket knife after his dog ate her stash.

We're guessing she has never seen Cheech & Chong's Up In Smoke or she would've just followed the pooch around three days with a little baggie, man. (Daily Mail, YouTube - WARNING: second link contains explicit language)

ONLY IN FLORIDA do armed robbers hold up a Subway restaurant wearing a spandex body suit.

This happened in Holly Hill; a man charged into the Subway and waved a gun around, then robbed the cash register.

Witnesses saw the robber donning the spandex by a dumpster before the holdup. They think he could have bought the disguise at a Halloween shop. (WFTV)
