This week the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a pair of major Fourth Amendment cases testing the reach of police powers.At issue is whether police officers need to obtain a warrant before they conduct a cellphone search during an arrest. The court's ruling on these cases, Riley v. California and United States v. Wurie, is expected to have profound impacts on how Americans interact with police.
