Michael Dunn, former Atlantic Beach police chief Michael Classey and ridesharing services are making headlines this week.
Wednesday, jurors in the retrial of Michael Dunn found him guilty of first-degree murder for the shooting death of 17-year-old Jordan Davis.
Davis was shot and killed during a dispute over loud music at a Southside Gate gas station in November 2012. His parents cried in court this week after the jury delivered their decision.
Ron Davis, Jordan's father, said he hopes this will shine a light on all of the families of those killed who did not receive a similar outcome.
"We must as Americans do a better job of loving one another," he said
Dunn was convicted of three counts of attempted murder and shooting a deadly missile in his first trial in February. For those charges, he faces at least 60 years in prison.
