Media Roundtable
Our panel discussed local civil rights groups call for a moratorium on pedestrian tickets in Jacksonville, police foiling a plot to shoot up the Islamic Center of North East Florida and the five year prison sentence handed down to former Congresswoman Corrine Brown.
Bright Holidays
They’re a group of volunteers who do their part to make the holidays a little brighter for underprivileged students and families here in Jacksonville.
Bright Holidays ramps up every year at this time, working with local schools to deliver clothing, food, school supplies and more to the kids who need it most.
They’ve brought the joy of the season to hundreds of Duval County children and this year, they hope to reach even more.
Christmas on Lomax
It’s the first Christmas on Lomax party and local merchants in Five Points are asking those who come by to bring a new, unwrapped toy that will be donated to less fortunate children in Jacksonville. Two members of the Jaguars cheerleaders, The Roar, will be in attendance and there will be an appearance by Santa.
It will be held 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Gloss Goods at 826 Lomax.
Love’s Labor’s Lost
Phase Eight is an ensemble based theatre company located in Jacksonville. They will be performing a Shakespeare classic Love’s Labour’s Lost at the WJCT studio Dec. 14-16.
Tickets are $15.
